The Low FODMAP Puzzle – were to start?
We like to think of your low FODMAP journey as a puzzle. You start with an empty table, pieces of the puzzle still in the box. You can feel the excitement building up, it is so much fun laying all the pieces! Were to start?
Maybe start of with the corners? They are easy to find.
Then the outlines of the puzzle? Relatively easy as well, good idea!
Then divide the remaining of the puzzle in 5 separate area’s. Get the pieces together for each area and then start laying them down. Step by step you are creating the whole picture!
Oke, you getting it? The low FODMAP diet is the puzzle, the 5 separate area’s are the FODMAP groups. The empty table is the elimination phase and laying down all the pieces is the introduction phase. Once you completed the whole process of testing you see the whole picture and you know exactly what foods can trigger your symptoms.
